Compliance-first payments / Diagnostics & Lab Testing

Payment processing for diagnostics and lab testing

From CLIA-certified labs to direct-to-consumer diagnostic services, NoRamp gives compliant operators payment infrastructure that respects the regulatory bar.

Lab testing and diagnostics is a category where the regulatory bar is real: CLIA certification, state lab licensure, and clinical oversight requirements for any test that touches a clinical decision. NoRamp underwrites compliant diagnostic operators — both B2B and direct-to-consumer — with the rigor the category requires.

How we approach diagnostics & lab testing

CLIA-certified labs only

For any test producing clinical results, we verify CLIA certification and state lab licensure. Wellness-only tests are reviewed against their specific positioning.

Clinical oversight for DTC

Direct-to-consumer diagnostic services must have appropriate clinical oversight — physician order for any test requiring it, with a real review process behind the scenes.

No wellness-as-medical marketing

Wellness panels marketed as diagnostic tools, or screening tests positioned as clinical recommendations, are immediate declines. The marketing has to match the regulatory category.

Frequently asked

Do you process for direct-to-consumer lab tests?

Yes, for operations with appropriate clinical oversight and CLIA-certified processing labs. Wellness-only tests with no clinical claim are reviewed separately.

What about at-home test kits?

At-home test kits with CLIA-certified lab processing on the back end are supported. Kits that produce a result without lab processing are reviewed against their specific FDA category.
