Who NoRamp declines for RUO peptide payment processing

We publish this list because it saves everyone time. If any item below describes your business, your application will be declined, and no amount of explanation, restructuring or rebranding will change that. NoRamp is deliberately the hardest RUO payment processor to be accepted onto.

Automatic declines

Each of the following is an automatic decline on its own. We do not weigh them against the strengths of an application, and we do not accept that something is only on one page or that it is industry standard.

  • Any prescription compound, under any name. Every GLP-1, GIP or incretin-class compound (semaglutide, tirzepatide, retatrutide, cagrilintide and their analogs) and any other approved or investigational prescription drug, whether spelled out, abbreviated, coded, misspelled on purpose, or hidden in a URL, image, alt text or product code.
  • Human-use positioning. Dosing, reconstitution, administration or cycle guidance. Weight-loss, anti-aging, performance, longevity, recovery, sexual-health, hair-growth or any other physiological claim. Mechanism copy written for a buyer rather than a laboratory.
  • Consumer formats and consumer selling. Capsules, strips, sprays, gummies, pre-filled pens, supplement-style labels, stacks, protocols, weeks-of-supply bundles, subscriptions, discount codes, loyalty programs, reviews, testimonials, before-and-after content, influencer or affiliate marketing.
  • Injection supplies alongside compounds. Bacteriostatic water, syringes, needles, alcohol swabs or reconstitution kits offered, bundled, upsold or cross-linked with research compounds.
  • Sales to individuals. Shipping to residential addresses, repeat individual buyers, order patterns inconsistent with institutional supply, or the absence of buyer verification and a required research-use acknowledgment at checkout.
  • Clinic, patient or telehealth framing. Any reference to patients, practitioners, prescriptions, consultations, physician use, or a referral path to a prescriber.
  • Disclaimers that only exist for the crawler. Research-use notices injected by script, hidden behind a cookie banner, drawn inside an image, or otherwise absent from the HTML the server actually sends.
  • Misrepresentation of any kind. A storefront that differs from the one you applied with, undisclosed domains or brands, transaction laundering or load balancing for another business, a misstated category, or an omitted termination, monitoring-program placement or regulatory action.
  • Any regulatory or network history. Prior action or correspondence from the FDA, FTC, DEA, a state attorney general or an international equivalent. Prior termination by Stripe or any other processor or acquirer. Prior placement on a network watch list or in a chargeback monitoring program.

Things that do not help an application

Applicants sometimes arrive with arguments they expect to work. They do not.

  • Another processor approved us. We apply Stripe's policy, the card-network programs and FDA and FTC guidance more strictly than the baseline requires. Approval elsewhere tells us nothing about whether you meet our bar.
  • We will clean up the site after approval. We review the storefront that exists, not the one you describe. A site that needs cleaning up is a site that was built for consumers.
  • The disclaimer covers it. A Research Use Only notice does not change what a product is marketed for. Regulators and networks look at the whole presentation, and so do we.
  • We will pay a higher rate. NoRamp is already not the low-cost option. Our pricing reflects the value of the platform, not the risk of the merchant. There is no price at which we accept conduct on the list above.
  • We will put it on a separate domain. Undisclosed domains and mirror sites are an automatic decline, and for a live merchant they are grounds for same-day termination.

What a decline looks like

Declines are final. We do not provide a remediation list for conduct on the automatic-decline list, because remediation is not the problem. We do not re-review the same business under a new name or a new domain, and we do not refer declined applicants to other processors.

If you were declined and believe we got the facts wrong, you can reply with evidence. If the facts were right, the decision stands.

Who is not on this list

A supplier whose customers are institutions and credentialed laboratories, whose catalog reads like a reference-materials catalog, whose checkout verifies the buyer, and whose history is clean is not on this list. That supplier should read how the application review works and apply.

Where we stand

NoRamp is the strictest payment processor in the world for Research Use Only. We are on the side of the card networks, the acquiring banks and the regulators, not on the side of a merchant who wants to see how close to the line they can operate. Approval is possible. It is rare, on purpose.
