Research Use Only / Peptide payment processing

The strictest Research Use Only payment processor in the world.

NoRamp processes payments for Research Use Only peptide suppliers whose customers are, in fact, researchers. We decline most applicants in this category, we enforce the card-network and regulator rules without exception, and we pass every fine through to the merchant responsible. We are the hardest RUO processor to be accepted onto, and that is the entire point.

Where we stand

NoRamp is the strictest payment processor in the world for Research Use Only. We are on the side of the card networks, the acquiring banks and the regulators, not on the side of a merchant who wants to see how close to the line they can operate. Approval is possible. It is rare, on purpose.

Zero tolerance for the gray area

There is a legitimate, well-regulated market for research-grade peptides: universities, biotech labs, contract research organizations and credentialed laboratories buying reference materials on purchase orders. There is also a much larger gray market selling the same molecules to consumers under a thin Research Use Only label. We process for the first market only, and we have no interest in helping anyone disguise the second.

A merchant who treats compliance as a presentation problem to be worked around is not a merchant we process for, at any price. If a bank, card network or regulator asks us about such a merchant, we tell them exactly what we found.

What makes NoRamp the strictest

Most applicants are declined, on purpose

Any prescription compound under any name, any human-use positioning, any consumer format, any sale to an individual, any injection supplies, any clinic framing, any misrepresentation, any prior termination or regulatory history. Each one is an automatic decline on its own. That is the intended outcome of the policy, not a side effect of it.

Stripe's policy is our floor, not our ceiling

We apply Stripe's Prohibited and Restricted Businesses policy, Mastercard's and Visa's brand-protection programs, and FDA and FTC guidance as a baseline, then apply our own Research Use Only policy on top with no exceptions. If you could not pass Stripe's review, you will not pass ours.

We never board anyone another processor removed

Prior termination by Stripe or any other processor is an automatic decline in every category. NoRamp competes on the value of the platform, never on willingness to accept merchants nobody else will take.

Nightly scans, human review, same-day enforcement

Every live storefront is scanned nightly across every connected domain and reviewed by people. Prohibited conduct means same-day suspension and termination, funds held, every card-network fine passed through in full, and a report to our banks, the networks and regulators where required.
